But seriously, I swore I'd hold out, but something came over me (I believe the technical term is "procrastination") and I signed up for Twitter.  If you're already among the 140-character damned, I'm on there as ba_barnett.  I've found a few of you flist types on there already, but there's plenty of room for more in my procrastinatory roster.

WOW, Barbara's on Twitter. And it seems I was the first person you followed. I am honored, though you must know I only twit once or twice a month. Real life keeps getting in the way. ;-)

The nice thing about Twitter is that you can spend as much or as little time on it as you want. I worried about the time thing, but it's pretty easy to control, I find, as long as you don't have the illusion that you can read everything everyone else tweets!

So far it's been easy not to spend too much time on there, but only because Twitter won't load on the computer I currently spend most of my day on...which I of course tweeted about once I was on my home computer. :)
